Dugong Dive Center Blog

A Flamboyant Cuttlefish has been spotted at the Club Paradise House Reef !! Thats the first time since the Dugong Dive Center started in1997. So far we had this kind of Cuttlefish only at one dive site (The Dugong Watching site Turtle Island). This cuttle fish is so amazing because it changes quickly to dramatic color pattern, walking on the lower arms and paired flaps off the underside of the body. It really draws attention by rhythmically waving the wide web on the sides of the arms. You can easy spend a whole dive with this species especial if you have a camera and want to shoot it hunting . Another attraction on this blessed dive site. Other families of the Cephalopods are present, you can see Bobtail Squid and Mimic Octopus, different kind of giant Cuttlefishes (mating season from December to April) and different Reef Octopuses. Diving in the Philippines at its best....
